Event-triggered high-resolution data capture gives OEMs and manufacturers deeper visibility into machine behavior around critical events.
Traditional machine monitoring is well suited to tracking trends and identifying when a fault occurred. But on fast-moving industrial equipment, the signals that explain why it happened may unfold in milliseconds or seconds — between standard polling intervals.
MONITOR + High-Resolution Data closes that gap using event-triggered capture at the machine edge. Teams define the conditions that matter — such as a torque threshold, temperature rate-of-change or cycle deviation — and ei³ automatically captures a high-resolution window of machine data around the event, including the moments before the trigger occurred.
Rather than continuously transmitting and storing every signal at high frequency, detailed data is captured when it is most valuable. This gives service, engineering and operations teams greater diagnostic context while keeping data volumes manageable.

High-Resolution Data runs at the edge on ei³ gateways, allowing trigger conditions to be evaluated directly at the machine without relying on a cloud round trip. Data can be captured before and after an event, then analyzed within MONITOR using tools including multi-signal visualization, event history and edge-based signal mappings.
The capability is designed for machines and processes where important changes happen quickly, including high-speed processing equipment, automated packaging and assembly lines, and thermal systems.
